Cosmo People Foundation: A Decade of Community Work in Nashik
Cosmo People Foundation is a Section 8 non-profit company based in Nashik, Maharashtra. It was registered in 2026 and carries forward community work that began in 2016, in health, education, livelihoods, disability inclusion, the environment, and arts and culture.
Where we come from
For ten years, the team behind Cosmo People has worked with communities in Nashik and nearby areas. The work began with awareness drives and community events, and grew into programs that people now know by name. In 2026, that work took a permanent, accountable form as Cosmo People Foundation, a registered Section 8 company whose income can only be used for its charitable objectives.
What we do
We bring the power of filmmaking and media together with grassroots social service. Our work is organised into focus areas that follow the objectives in our Memorandum of Association. Our main programs are:
- ORGANATION: organ donation and health awareness drives.
- NES (Nano-Enterprise Support): training and incubation that help youth, women and farmers start small businesses.
- School Adoption: learning support for children and youth development programs.
- PRISM: inclusive arts and talent showcases that create equal opportunity for persons with disabilities.
- GREENOSMO: urban greening and clean rivers.

Since 2016, including work by Cosmo People before the Foundation was registered:
- 7,200+ people have engaged in our nano-enterprise programs, and 1,200+ nano-enterprises have been impacted.
- 4,700+ students and youth have engaged in our programs.
- 237+ organ donation and health awareness drives have been held.
- 1,200+ community volunteers have joined our work.
We label every figure with the period it covers, because donors and partners deserve numbers they can trust.
Registered and accountable
Cosmo People Foundation is a Section 8 company limited by guarantee and registered under the Companies Act, 2013 (CIN U88900MR2026NPL474445). We hold 12A and 80G registrations and are CSR-1 registered (CSR00109899), which means companies can fund our projects as part of their CSR commitments. What is next: COSMOVERSE
We are planning COSMOVERSE, our annual community event that brings all our programs together through awareness, engagement and fundraising. The date and venue will be announced soon, and you can leave your details on the COSMOVERSE page to hear first.
